Kate Kuo is a Program Officer at The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation’s Agricultural Development (AgDev) Program managing the Agricultural Advisory Services portfolio, including strategy development and investment generation focused on supporting digitally-enabled advisory systems; she also manages the AgDev Program’s partnership with USAID. She was previously on the AgDev Program’s Livestock and Strategic Partnership Teams. Prior to joining Gates, she worked at the US Agency for International Development (USAID) in strategy and program development for the former Soviet Union, Southeastern Europe, East Asia, and Feed the Future, including short-term postings in 7 countries. Kate was a Peace Corps Volunteer in Kyrgyzstan and NGO Trainer in Nepal.  She grew up in Taipei, Taiwan, and has a B.A. in Art History from Barnard College and an M.S. in Foreign Service/International Development from Georgetown University.
